How to Decorate with Doormats and Wall Accents
Doormats
Macaw's Holidays adds doormats such as the Bat Doormat. Place a doormat on the floor directly in front of a door or at the entrance to a themed room. Doormats sit flat on the ground, so they work as a subtle welcome detail without blocking movement.
Wall Accents
Wall decorations mount on solid blocks and include several themed sets: Bat Wall Deco 1, 2, and 3, the Bell Wall Deco series, the Bells Wall Deco series, Blue Garland Wall Deco 1 and 2, Blue Ornament Wall Deco 1 and 2, and Bottom Garland Wall Deco 1 and 2. These are small props you place on walls to add detail to hallways, entryways, and rooms.
Building a Cohesive Entrance
Start at the door: place a doormat on the inside floor, then add a wall decoration on each side of the doorframe at eye level. Use garlands above the door and smaller ornaments or bells beside it. Repeat the same pattern at each doorway in your build so the theme carries through the whole structure.
Tips
- Wall decorations need a full solid block behind them.
- Pair bat-themed accents with darker rooms and bell or garland accents with brighter ones.
- Keep spacing even so the wall does not look cluttered.
