Lumora Shaders FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on Lumora Shaders after installing it?
Open your video settings in-game, go to Shaders, and select Lumora from the list. The shader will apply immediately to your world.
Why don't portals glow in my world?
Make sure Portal Glow is enabled in the shader options menu. If it's on but still dim, check that your brightness settings aren't set too low, as this can override the glow effect.
Can I use Lumora with other shader packs at the same time?
No, only one shader pack can be active at a time. You'll need to switch between them in your video settings.
Block reflections aren't showing up on water or wet surfaces—what's wrong?
Check that reflections are enabled in the shader settings. If they're on, make sure you're looking at blocks that support reflections (like water, ice, or polished stone variants), as not all blocks reflect in Lumora.
Does Lumora work in the Nether?
Yes, Lumora applies to all dimensions including the Nether, though the cinematic lighting will look different there due to the dimension's unique atmosphere.
My game is running slowly with Lumora enabled—how do I improve performance?
Try disabling or reducing reflections and portal glow effects in the shader settings, or lower your render distance. You can also disable the custom cloud effects if performance is still an issue.
Can I adjust how bright the portal glow is?
Yes, most portal glow settings can be tweaked in the shader options menu—look for glow intensity or brightness sliders to find the level that works for you.
Does the custom End sky work in all End biomes?
The custom End sky replaces the entire End dimension sky, so it will appear the same across all End biomes and islands.
Will Lumora affect my world's performance if I'm using mods that add lots of blocks?
Large mods can impact performance when combined with shaders, especially if reflection or lighting effects are heavy. Test your setup and adjust shader settings as needed.
Can I disable just the cinematic lighting and keep other features?
Yes, you can toggle individual features like cinematic lighting, reflections, and portal glow separately in the shader options menu to customize your experience.
