Customize Light Ray (God Ray) Intensity
Open Light Ray Settings
Access shader options (Right Shift + R) and find the Volumetric Lighting, Light Rays, or Atmosphere section.
Adjust Ray Strength
Locate the Light Ray Intensity or Volumetric Light Strength slider. Lower values create subtle, barely-visible rays; higher values produce dramatic, visible beams through clouds and particles.
Control Ray Spread
If available, use the Ray Distance slider to determine how far light rays extend from the sun or moon. Shorter distances keep rays close to the light source; longer distances spread them across the entire sky.
Reduce Performance Impact
Light rays can affect frame rate. If performance drops, lower Ray Quality or Ray Sample Count (if present) to reduce visual detail while maintaining the effect.
Test in Various Conditions
Light rays are most visible during sunrise, sunset, and when the sun is partially obscured by clouds or terrain. Visit these conditions to see your adjustments in action. Experiment until rays feel immersive without overwhelming the scene.
