Grant Specific Permissions to Players

Understanding Permissions

Permissions control what players can do—from building to using commands. You can assign permissions to individual players or entire ranks.

Granting Permissions via Web Editor

1. Open the web editor and locate the player or rank

2. Find the Permissions section

3. Search for the permission you want to grant (e.g., permissions related to building, commands, or chat)

4. Toggle the permission on

5. Save your changes

Granting Permissions via Console

Use console commands to grant permissions directly without opening the web editor. This is faster for bulk changes or urgent adjustments.

Testing Permissions

After granting a permission:

1. Have the player rejoin the server

2. Ask them to attempt the action (e.g., use a command or place a block)

3. If it doesn't work, verify the permission name is correct and saved

Organizing Permissions by Role

Assign related permissions to ranks rather than individual players. For example, give all Moderators permission to use moderation commands at once, rather than granting each permission separately to each moderator.
