How to Fix Lower Fire Not Showing Up or Clashing With Other Packs

Common reasons the effect does not appear

Resource packs that edit the same texture conflict, and the one higher in the list wins. If another pack also changes fire, or if a mod overrides fire rendering, the Lower Fire Resource Pack may look like it is doing nothing.

Troubleshooting steps

1. Open your resource pack list and drag Lower Fire to the top, above any other pack that touches fire, particles, or the HUD.

2. Reload resources (or leave and re-enter the world) after reordering — texture changes often do not apply until a reload.

3. Test in a controlled spot: place netherrack, light it, and stand in it. If the flame is still full height, another pack is overriding it.

4. Disable other fire-related packs one at a time to find the conflict, then decide which one you actually want.

5. If you use a mod that replaces fire rendering entirely, the resource pack cannot override it — in that case pick one approach: the mod or the pack, not both.

6. Finally, confirm the pack is actually enabled (not just downloaded) and that it is compatible with your current game version, since a mismatched pack may silently fail to load its textures.
