How to Use Low On Fire for PvP and Lava Survival

Why It Matters in Combat

In PvP, fire aspect and flame bows are common. The default overlay hides your opponent, your health, and your surroundings at the exact moment you need them. In survival, falling into lava or being hit by a blaze is when you most need to see where to swim or run. Low On Fire keeps the flames visible but out of the way, so you can react instead of flailing.

Practical Tactics Once Installed

1. Lava escapes: With the overlay lowered, watch the edge of the lava pool and your oxygen/hunger indicators while swimming out. You can now spot the shoreline instead of guessing.

2. Blaze and fire aspect fights: Keep your crosshair on the target. The reduced flames let you track strafing opponents and land hits while still burning.

3. Nether travel: When a ghast fireball or lava splash sets you alight, you can keep sprinting along narrow paths without stepping off.

4. Water bucket saves: Because you can see the ground, you can aim a water bucket at your feet accurately while on fire.

5. Combined with fire resistance: The pack does not remove damage — it only clears your view. Still carry fire resistance potions or a water bucket for actual survival.

Pair it with a low-fire-on-entities setting if your pack offers one, so mobs on fire don't obscure your aim either.
