How to Tell Low On Fire Apart From Other Fire-Reducing Packs

What Makes This Pack Different

Many "low fire" packs go further than this one: they shrink the overlay, make it transparent, or remove it entirely. Low On Fire specifically lowers the on-screen flame so it no longer blocks your view, while leaving ground fire, torches, campfires, and burning entities completely untouched. That means your world still looks normal — only your own screen overlay is affected.

Checking What You Have

1. Enable Low On Fire and stand next to a campfire, then walk through normal fire on the ground. Those should look exactly as they always did.

2. Now set yourself on fire. Only the screen overlay should change — it should sit lower and thinner.

3. Compare with a fully transparent fire pack: if you see no flames at all on your screen, you have a different pack active, not this one.

4. Compare with a full-size fire pack: if the flames still cover the center of your view, this pack is not the one loading.

Choosing the Right One for You

If you want the world to keep its vanilla look and only want your own view cleared, this pack is the match. If you want fire on mobs and the ground shrunk too, you need a broader pack. You can run both, but remember the higher pack wins for any shared texture, so decide which effect you want on top.
