Making Towns and Towers Loot Feel More Like Vanilla Progression

Why the Default Loot Can Feel Off

Towns and Towers structures are large, so their chests can hand out a lot of gear at once. Loot Integrations re-points those chests at vanilla loot tables, but the tables it picks may still be richer than what you want at your current stage of the game. The fix is to choose tables that match the difficulty of the structure rather than the size of it.

Matching Tables to Structure Difficulty

1. Sort your Towns and Towers structures into tiers in your head: small houses and camps, mid-size towers, and the big fortress-style builds.

2. For small structures, point their chests at common vanilla tables such as village house or shipwreck supply tables.

3. For mid-size structures, use tables like dungeon, mineshaft, or pillager outpost.

4. For the largest structures, use stronghold, woodland mansion, or ancient city tables.

5. Edit the corresponding JSON files so each structure's pool references the tier you chose.

Keeping It Balanced

Avoid pointing every chest at the same high-tier table, or players will farm one easy structure for endgame gear. Spread the good tables across the hardest structures and leave the easy ones modest. Test by looting several chests per tier and comparing the average haul. If a structure still feels too generous, move it down a tier rather than removing loot entirely.
