How to Change Which Loot Tables Towns and Towers Chests Pull From

Understanding How the Integration Works

Loot Integrations: Towns And Towers does not add brand-new items to chests. Instead, it swaps the loot tables that Towns and Towers structures already use so that the contents are drawn from comparable vanilla loot tables. That means the chests still spawn in the same places, but the rolls behind them are re-pointed. Before editing anything, open a world, find a Towns and Towers structure, and loot a few chests so you know the baseline you are changing.

Editing the Loot Table Files

1. Locate the mod's data folder inside your instance (the data directory of the Loot Integrations: Towns And Towers jar or its config/datapack output).

2. Find the JSON files whose names match the Towns and Towers structure or chest you want to affect.

3. Open one in a text editor and look at the pools entries. Each pool lists the vanilla loot table it now references.

4. Replace that reference with the vanilla loot table you want instead, keeping the JSON structure intact.

5. Save, then reload with /reload if you are using a datapack, or restart the game if you edited files directly.

Testing Your Change

Generate a fresh structure or use creative mode to fly to one, then open the chest and confirm the new items appear. If nothing changes, the table name is probably wrong or the file is not being loaded. Keep a backup of the original JSON so you can revert quickly.
