Fixing Towns and Towers Chests That Still Give Default Loot
Check the Basics First
If chests in Towns and Towers structures look unchanged after installing Loot Integrations: Towns And Towers, the mod is probably not loading its loot tables. Confirm the mod is actually enabled in your mod loader, then check that you are looking at a Towns and Towers structure and not a similar-looking vanilla one. Loot Integrations only affects the structures from that specific mod.
Common Causes
1. Datapack conflict. Another datapack may be overriding the same loot table IDs. Remove or reorder datapacks so the Loot Integrations tables win.
2. Stale world data. Structures generated before you installed the mod keep their old loot. Generate a new chunk or a new world and test there.
3. Wrong file location. If you edited JSON by hand, make sure the file sits in the correct data/<namespace>/loot_tables path and that the namespace matches the mod's.
4. Syntax errors. A single missing comma breaks the whole table silently. Validate your JSON with any online validator.
Confirming the Fix
After correcting the cause, run /reload and loot a freshly generated chest. If it now matches the table you set, the integration is working. Keep a copy of any file you edited so you can restore it if a future change breaks things.
