How to Make Formations Chest Loot Feel More Rewarding
Understand What the Mod Actually Changes
The integration replaces Formations' default chest contents with entries drawn from comparable vanilla loot tables plus compatible mods. That means the ceiling on how good loot can get depends on which vanilla tables it mirrors — a Nether structure chest may pull from bastion or fortress-style pools, while Overworld chests may mirror dungeon, mineshaft, or temple tables.
Ways to Increase Perceived Value
1. Install additional loot-expanding mods that add high-tier gear to vanilla tables. The integration will pick those up where the tables overlap.
2. Avoid looting the same structure type repeatedly if you want variety — different Formations structures map to different source tables.
3. Play on higher difficulty or with mods that scale loot, since some loot mods adjust table weights globally.
4. Don't ignore Nether structures. Nether loot pools often include materials that are harder to farm, making those chests feel more valuable than Overworld ones.
5. Keep a shulker or ender chest on you so you can carry everything out and actually use it.
If loot still feels flat, the bottleneck is usually the source mods installed, not the integration itself.
