Loot Integrations: Formations Overworld And Nether Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does Loot Integrations: Formations Overworld And Nether actually do?
It rewrites the loot tables for chests found in Formations mod structures in the Overworld and Nether so they pull from vanilla loot tables and items added by other installed mods. You don't need to configure anything for it to start working; existing and newly generated Formations chests will use the new loot.
How do I get modded items to show up in Formations chests?
The mod automatically pulls from loot tables of other installed mods, so simply having those mods installed alongside it is usually enough. If a specific mod's items never appear, that mod likely doesn't register its loot into the tables this integration reads from.
Do I need to create a new world for the loot changes to apply?
No, but chests that were already generated and opened before you added the mod keep their old contents. Newly generated Formations structures, and unopened chests in chunks that regenerate, will use the integrated loot.
Why are the chests in my Formations structures empty or missing?
This is usually caused by a loot table conflict or another loot-modifying mod overwriting the same tables. Check that no other mod is replacing Formations loot tables, and make sure the Formations mod itself is loaded correctly.
Is this mod compatible with other loot mods?
Yes, it's designed to work alongside other loot mods and pulls from comparable vanilla loot tables. If two mods edit the exact same table, load order can decide which one wins, so test in a fresh world if loot looks wrong.
Does this mod add loot to vanilla structures too, or only Formations ones?
It only targets chests inside Formations mod structures in the Overworld and Nether. Vanilla structure loot is left untouched, so you won't see changes in things like vanilla dungeons or Nether fortresses.
Will this mod cause lag or performance problems?
No, loot table changes are lightweight and only run when a chest is generated or opened. Performance impact is negligible compared to world generation or mob AI.
Can I configure which items appear in the chests?
The mod works out of the box by reading from vanilla and installed mod loot tables rather than exposing a big config of individual items. To change what appears, adjust the loot tables of the source mods or use a datapack that overrides the relevant tables.
How do I find Formations structures so I can actually see the new loot?
Formations structures generate in the Overworld and Nether like other worldgen features, so explore biomes and use structure-locating commands or mods if you want to find them faster. Once you find a chest inside one, the integrated loot will already be there.
Does this mod work on a server, and do all players need it?
It's a data/loot-table mod, so it needs to be installed on the server for the loot changes to apply. Clients generally don't need it unless the mod also adds client-side assets, but installing it on both sides avoids mismatches.
