Customize Tooltip Background and Appearance

Access Background Settings

When creating or editing a tooltip entry, look for background customization options. You can change the box appearance independently from the text content.

Choose a Background Style

Select a solid color background by entering a hex code, or upload a custom texture image from your resource pack folder. Adjust the transparency level to make the background fully opaque, semi-transparent, or nearly invisible.

Align Icons and Manage Layout

The mod can align resource pack icons to the start of tooltip lines, keeping your item information organized and visually balanced. This prevents text from overlapping with item graphics.

Apply Text Formatting

Beyond background changes, add text styles like bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, or scrambled text codes to individual lines. These styles stack with your color gradients for layered visual effects.

Save and Test

Preview your complete tooltip design—background, icons, text styles, and colors—by holding CTRL. Once satisfied, save the entry and check the result on your item in-game.
