Add Custom Lore Text to a Specific Item

Create a New Tooltip Entry

Open your in-game Mods menu and navigate to Looming Script Lexicon settings. Click the button to create a new tooltip entry. You'll be presented with a form to define which item receives the custom text.

Target Your Item

Enter the item's ID (for example, minecraft:diamond_sword or modname:custom_item). Alternatively, use an item tag to apply the same tooltip to multiple related items, or use regex to match items by pattern. If you want the tooltip on every item in the game, select the wildcard option.

Write and Position Your Text

Type your custom lore into the text field. Use line breaks to split content across multiple lines. Choose where the text appears: below the item name, at the bottom of the tooltip box, or replacing vanilla description lines entirely.

Preview and Save

Hold CTRL to open the live preview window and see how your text looks on the actual item. Adjust colors, formatting, or positioning as needed. Once satisfied, save your changes. The tooltip will appear immediately on matching items in your inventory.
