How to Access and Scroll Through Your Extended Chat History

Opening the full history

Once the mod is installed, the chat log itself works exactly like vanilla — you just have far more of it. Press T to open chat, then use your scroll wheel or the Page Up / Page Down keys to move through older messages. In vanilla, scrolling stops after roughly the last hundred lines; with this mod you can keep scrolling back through thousands of messages until you hit the new cap.

If scrolling feels slow, hold Shift while scrolling to move faster through the backlog. You can also drag the scrollbar on the right side of the chat window if your chat is set to the wider, non-transparent layout in Options.

Making the history easier to read

• Increase your chat height in Options → Chat Settings → Chat Height so more lines are visible at once.
• Set Chat Opacity higher so old messages stay legible against the world behind them.
• Use Chat Width to widen the panel; long server messages wrap less and you scan faster.

When messages seem to vanish

If you close and reopen chat, the scroll position resets to the newest message. That is normal — the history is still there, just scroll back down again. Restarting the game clears the buffer entirely, so copy anything important before you quit.
