Log Pass Plugin FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to create an account before I can play?
Yes. An admin must create your account using /pass create , or you can create one yourself if you have console access. Once your account exists, you log in with /login every time you join.
What happens if I don't log in after joining?
You'll be teleported to the spawn point set by an admin and won't be able to access your items, inventory, or move freely until you log in. If you take too long, the server will kick you based on the login-timeout-seconds setting.
Can I use the same account from different Minecraft usernames?
No. Each account is tied to a specific username you log in with. If you want to play as a different username, you need a separate account created for that name.
What data does the plugin save when I log in?
The plugin saves your inventory, armor, health, food level, and XP level. Your position is also restored, so you'll spawn where you logged out.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
An admin can reset your password using /pass reset . You cannot reset it yourself—contact a server administrator.
Should I use /logout before closing the game?
Yes, especially if you share a device with other players. /logout ensures your account is secure and prevents someone else from accessing your character if they join before you do.
Can I see who is logged in and who isn't?
The plugin shows the account name next to each player's tag in chat, so you can tell who is authenticated. Unauthenticated players will appear with their login username until they log in.
Does the plugin work with other authentication mods?
Log Pass Plugin is designed as a standalone authentication system. Using it alongside other login plugins may cause conflicts—check with your server admin before adding multiple authentication mods.
Where are passwords and player data stored?
All data is stored locally on your server in server files. Passwords are protected using secure hashing and random salts, so they're not stored in plain text.
Can I set a minimum password length to make accounts more secure?
Yes. An admin can configure min-password-length in the settings to require longer passwords. The default may be short, so ask your admin to increase it if you want stronger security.
