Prevent Accidentally Moving Items Into Chests

Why Lock Items

When looting or organizing storage, it's easy to accidentally drag a valuable item into a chest or hopper. Locking prevents this entirely.

Locking Items Before Storage Runs

1. Open your inventory

2. Identify items you never want to store (enchanted tools, rare materials, food)

3. Hover over each item's slot and press your lock key

4. Confirm the lock indicator appears

5. Close your inventory and head to your storage area

Now when you're moving items between your inventory and chests, locked slots cannot be clicked or dragged. If you try to move a locked item, it simply won't budge.

Unlocking for Intentional Storage

If you later decide to store a locked item, return to your inventory, press the lock key on that slot to unlock it, then move it normally. This two-step process ensures you never lose something valuable by accident.
