Keep Your Best Tools Safe While Mining

Protecting Your Main Gear

Your enchanted pickaxe, sword, or shovel deserves protection. Lock it so you can't accidentally throw it away or lose it in a cave.

Setting Up Tool Protection

1. Equip or place your best tool in a hotbar slot

2. Open your inventory and locate that slot

3. Press your lock key while pointing at it

4. Watch for the lock indicator to confirm

5. Close your inventory and start mining

Your locked tool stays exactly where it is. Even if you spam the drop key in panic, it won't fall. Other items can't swap into its slot either.

Managing Multiple Tools

You can lock several slots at once—your pickaxe, sword, and shovel can all be protected simultaneously. If you need to switch tools mid-session, unlock the slot, move your tool, then lock a different slot. This workflow keeps your most important gear safe without slowing you down.
