How to Enable and Configure the Locator Heads Player Overlay

Turning the Overlay On

Once the mod is installed, nearby players will start appearing as small head icons riding along your XP bar. If you don't see them, open the mod's configuration screen (usually reachable from the Mods list in-game or via its own config key) and make sure the master toggle for head rendering is enabled. There is a separate option to enable or disable head rendering independently of the rest of the overlay, so check that first before assuming something is broken.

Adjusting What You See

Inside the config you can:

  • Toggle player names on or off so a label renders next to each head.
  • Change head size using the adjustable head size setting — useful if the icons feel too small or cluttered on a large server.
  • Force the XP bar to stay visible with the always-show option, so the overlay has a place to render even when you have no XP.

After changing values, save and close the config. Most settings apply immediately, but if the overlay looks stale, leave and rejoin the world or server. Test on a multiplayer server with a friend standing at different distances to confirm the icons move and scale the way you expect.
