How to Add Your Own Custom Loading Tips

Create the Resource Pack Structure

You do not edit the mod itself. Instead, create a resource pack folder with this exact path inside it: assets/<yourpackid>/loading_tips/tips.json. The <yourpackid> must match the namespace you declare in your pack's pack.mcmeta. Place a valid pack.mcmeta at the root of the pack and set pack_format to match your game version, otherwise the pack will not load.

Write the tips.json File

Inside tips.json, use this shape:

`json

{

"replace": false,

"tips": [

"text.loadingtips.tip.nether_bed",

"text.loadingtips.tip.milk"

]

}

`

Each entry is a translation key, not literal text. Keep replace as false so your tips are merged with the mod's defaults; set it to true only if you want to wipe the built-in list entirely.

Define the Text in a Lang File

Create assets/<yourpackid>/lang/en_us.json and map each key to the sentence you want shown:

`json

{

"text.loadingtips.tip.nether_bed": "Sleeping in the Nether explodes. Don't.",

"text.loadingtips.tip.milk": "Milk cures all status effects, including bad ones."

}

`

Enable the pack in Options > Resource Packs, restart, and your tips appear on the next loading screen. If a tip shows as a raw key like text.loadingtips.tip.milk, the lang file path or key spelling is wrong.
