Fixing Tips That Show as Raw Translation Keys
Check the Key Spelling
A loading screen showing something like text.loadingtips.tip.milk instead of a sentence means the game found the tip key but no translation for it. Open your tips.json and compare each string against the keys in your lang file character by character. A single typo, a missing dot, or a different namespace breaks the lookup.
Verify the Lang File Path
Translations must live at assets/<namespace>/lang/en_us.json, where <namespace> is the same namespace used in the tip keys. If your tips use text.loadingtips.tip.*, the file must be under the loadingtips namespace, not your pack's own id. If you wrote custom keys like text.mypack.tip.a, the lang file belongs under mypack. Mismatched namespaces are the most common cause.
Confirm the Pack Is Actually Loading
Make sure the resource pack is enabled and sits above any pack that might override the same lang file. Check pack.mcmeta for a correct pack_format; a wrong format makes the game silently refuse the pack. Also confirm the JSON is valid: trailing commas and unescaped quotes will cause the whole file to be skipped, leaving only the raw keys visible. After fixing, restart the game so the loading screen regenerates. If only some tips are broken, the problem is isolated to those specific keys rather than the file as a whole.
