What Loading Protection Does

Loading Protection Mod gives you a temporary safety shield when you join a server or world. While the shield is active, you take zero damage, so monsters and falls cannot hurt you before you are ready to play. Monsters ignore you entirely and will not attack.

There is a trade-off: you also cannot hit or hurt other players or monsters while protected. The shield disappears the moment you start walking, so it only covers the brief loading period.

Chat Countdown and Configuration

The game chat shows how much safe time remains, but messages appear only once every five seconds to avoid spam. You can turn these messages off if you prefer.

Settings live in config/loadingprotection-common.toml. The protectionDuration option controls how many seconds the safety lasts, and showMessages toggles the chat countdown on or off. Adjust these to match how long your game typically takes to load.
