What does the Loading Protection Mod do when I join a server or world?
It gives you a safe shield that prevents you from taking any damage while your game is still loading. Monsters also ignore you and won't attack during this time.
How does the safety shield go away?
The shield disappears when the protection time runs out or when you start walking. Moving your character breaks it instantly.
Can I attack monsters or other players while the shield is active?
No, you cannot hit or hurt other players and monsters while protected. The shield only keeps you safe, it doesn't let you deal damage.
How do I know how much safe time is left?
The game chat tells you how much safe time remains. These chat messages only show up once every five seconds.
How do I change how long the protection lasts?
Edit the protectionDuration setting in the config/loadingprotection-common.toml file to set how many seconds the safety lasts.
Can I turn off the chat countdown messages?
Yes, the showMessages option in the config file turns the chat countdown messages on or off.
