Understanding the Loading Bar Breaking Animation
What You'll See
When you start breaking a block, instead of the standard cracking animation that appears in layers, you'll now see a smooth horizontal loading bar overlay on the block. This bar fills from left to right (or in a continuous smooth motion) as you deal damage to the block, giving you a clear visual indicator of how much longer until the block breaks.
How It Works
The loading bar appears directly on the block's surface as you mine it. The fuller the bar, the closer the block is to breaking. This replaces Minecraft's default multi-stage crack texture system with a single, unified progress indicator.
Why This Helps
The loading bar is easier to read at a glance than counting crack stages. It's particularly useful when:
- Mining multiple blocks in succession
- Working in low-light conditions where cracks are hard to see
- Using tools with varying effectiveness on different blocks
- Playing in first-person view where the standard animation can be obscured
The smooth animation also creates a more modern, polished feel compared to the step-by-step cracking effect.
