Troubleshoot Llamas Not Showing Custom Models
Common Issues and Fixes
Llamas Look Like Default Mobs
Cause: Custom entity models aren't enabled or installed.
Fix:
- Verify OptiFine's Custom Entity Models setting is ON in Video Settings
- Or confirm EMF and ETF mods are installed and loaded
- Restart your game after enabling
Pack Isn't Loading
Cause: Resource pack is disabled or in wrong order.
Fix:
- Open Resource Packs menu
- Ensure LLama Girls is in the Selected column (right side)
- Move it above conflicting packs using arrow buttons
- Reload the world
Carpets Don't Change Outfits
Cause: Custom models aren't rendering, so texture changes are invisible.
Fix:
- Follow the "Enable Custom Models" guide first
- Verify the llama has a carpet equipped (check its back visually)
- Try re-equipping a different colored carpet
Faces Look Blurry or Wrong
Cause: Texture filtering settings or conflicting packs.
Fix:
- Check Mipmap Levels in Video Settings (try setting to 0)
- Remove other llama-related resource packs
- Ensure LLama Girls loads last in your pack list
