LLama Girls Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why do my llamas still look normal?
The custom models only appear if you have Custom Entity Models enabled through OptiFine or the EMF and ETF mods. Without these, the resource pack cannot display the stylized characters. Check your mod loader settings to ensure one of these is active.
How do I change what a llama is wearing?
Equip a dyed carpet on the llama by right-clicking it with the carpet in your hand. Each carpet color corresponds to a different dress style, and you can swap between all seventeen variations by changing which carpet the llama wears.
Do I need to install anything else besides the resource pack?
Yes, you must have either OptiFine with Custom Entity Models support, or both the EMF and ETF mods installed. The resource pack alone cannot apply the custom models without one of these tools.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs?
You can layer it with other packs in your resource pack list, but packs that also modify llama textures or models may conflict. Place LLama Girls higher in your load order if you want its designs to take priority.
Do the custom models work on llamas in the Nether or End?
Yes, the custom models apply to all llamas regardless of dimension, as long as Custom Entity Models is enabled.
What happens if I remove a carpet from a dressed llama?
The llama will revert to its base character appearance without the dress. You can re-equip any carpet to restore an outfit.
Are there any performance issues with this pack?
The custom models are relatively lightweight, but enabling Custom Entity Models in OptiFine or using EMF/ETF may impact performance on lower-end systems. Disable the feature or reduce other graphics settings if you experience lag.
Can I use this pack in multiplayer?
Yes, but all players must have the resource pack and Custom Entity Models support installed to see the stylized llamas. Players without the pack will see standard llamas.
Do llamas with custom models still function normally for breeding or trading?
Yes, the pack is purely visual and does not change any llama mechanics, breeding, or behavior.
Why do some llamas look different from others even with the same carpet?
The pack may include subtle variations in the character designs, or you may be viewing llamas from different angles and lighting conditions. All llamas with the same carpet color should wear the same dress style.
