Edit Mob and Item Textures

Selecting Mobs and Items

With editor mode enabled (press J), you can customize any mob or item texture. Look at a zombie, creeper, skeleton, or any other mob in your world and press R to open its texture editor. You can also edit item textures by targeting items on the ground or in your inventory.

Drawing on Mob Textures

Mob textures work the same as block textures. Use left-click to paint with your current tool and right-click to drag the canvas. The grid shows individual pixels so you can redraw specific details—change a creeper's face, recolor a zombie's skin, or customize armor appearances.

Precision Editing

Use your mouse wheel to zoom in on small features like eyes, mouths, or armor details. Switch between tools as needed: the pencil for precise work, the brush for larger areas, and the color picker to sample existing colors from the texture.

Saving Your Work

Changes save automatically to your resource pack. Your custom mob and item designs persist across game sessions.
