Crawl Through a One-Block Tunnel

Enter Crawl Mode

Press Z to enter the crawling posture. Your character will lower to a horizontal position, and your hitbox will compress to fit through tight spaces.

Navigate the Tunnel

Once crawling, move forward using W (or your forward key). You can now pass through any horizontal opening that is exactly one block high. Your view will adjust to match your lowered perspective, so you'll see the tunnel from a prone angle.

Exit and Stand

When you reach the other side or want to stop crawling, press Left Shift to stand back up into your normal walking stance. Your character will return to full height and your view will reset.

Tips

• Crawling works in tunnels, under low ceilings, and through gaps between blocks
• You move slower while crawling than walking, so plan accordingly
• Your hitbox stays synchronized on multiplayer servers, so other players see you crawling in real time
• You cannot crawl if there isn't enough vertical space above you
