Lithe Motion Framework Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start using the mod after installing it?
Launch Minecraft with the mod loaded, then press X to sit, Z to crawl, or C to lie down. Press Left Shift to return to normal standing. If these keys don't work, open your Controls menu and check that the pose bindings are set.
Can I sit on stairs and slabs or just flat ground?
You can sit on stairs, slabs, carpets, snow layers, and other partial blocks—the mod automatically adjusts your character's position to fit the block shape beneath you.
What happens to my hitbox when I crawl or lie down?
Your hitbox shrinks to match your posture, so you can fit through one-block-high spaces while crawling and won't clip through blocks while lying down. Your view height also adjusts so you see from your character's actual position.
Do other players see my poses on multiplayer servers?
Yes, all poses sync across multiplayer—other players see you sitting, crawling, and lying down in real time.
Can I change the default keys for sitting, crawling, and lying down?
Open your standard Minecraft Controls menu and search for the pose bindings to rebind them to any keys you prefer.
Why can't I sit on this block?
You can only sit on solid surfaces; try standing on a different block or make sure you're not in mid-air. Some mods that add custom blocks may not be recognized by Lithe Motion.
Does crawling make me move slower than walking?
Crawling is designed for fitting through tight spaces rather than speed—you move at a reduced pace to match the cramped posture.
Can I lie down on a bed, or do I have to use the lie-down pose?
The lie-down pose lets you rest on any flat surface without needing a bed, but you can also use beds normally if you prefer.
Does this mod work with other mods that change player movement?
Lithe Motion usually works alongside other mods, but conflicts can occur with mods that heavily modify hitboxes or player state—test in your world to be sure.
What if my character gets stuck in a pose?
Press Left Shift to stand up and return to normal movement; if you're truly stuck, try moving to a different block or relogging.
