Switch Between Mining Shapes

Access the Shape Menu

Press the Liteminer key (Tilde/Grave by default) while looking at a block to activate the mining preview. The outline will show your current shape's selection.

Rotate Through Available Shapes

While the outline is visible, use your mouse wheel to cycle through the available mining shapes:

• Shapeless: Mines all connected blocks of the same type (best for natural formations)
• 3×3: Mines a 3×3 area centered on your target
• Small Tunnel: Mines a narrow tunnel pattern
• Staircase Up: Mines blocks in an ascending staircase pattern
• Staircase Down: Mines blocks in a descending staircase pattern

Confirm Your Choice

Once the outline matches what you want to mine, left-click to break all outlined blocks. The shape you select will remain active until you manually switch it again.

When to Use Each Shape

• Use Shapeless for ore veins and trees
• Use 3×3 for clearing areas or mining stone
• Use Staircase shapes when creating mineshafts or descending into caves
