Liteminer Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I activate Liteminer?
Look at a block and press the Tilde/Grave key (`) to activate the mining mode. You'll see an outline appear around the blocks that will be mined together.
What's the difference between the mining shapes?
Shapeless mines connected blocks of the same type; 3×3 mines a square area; Small Tunnel creates a narrow corridor; Staircase Up and Staircase Down carve steps upward or downward. Each shape is useful for different situations.
How do I switch between shapes?
Hold the Liteminer key and scroll your mouse wheel up or down to cycle through the available shapes. The outline will update to show your new selection.
Can I use Liteminer on any block type?
Liteminer works best on connected blocks of the same type, like ore veins, wood in trees, or stone. It won't activate on single isolated blocks or mixed block types.
Does Liteminer work with trees?
Yes, activate Liteminer while looking at wood blocks to fell an entire tree at once. The outline shows which wood blocks will be harvested.
What happens to the blocks I mine?
Mined blocks drop as items just like normal mining, so you'll collect all the resources. Make sure you have inventory space or items may be left behind.
Does Liteminer work in multiplayer?
Yes, Liteminer functions in multiplayer servers, though server-side mods or permissions may affect its behavior depending on your server configuration.
Can I use Liteminer with a pickaxe or any tool?
Liteminer works independently of your held tool, but you still need an appropriate tool in your inventory to actually break the blocks (like a pickaxe for ore).
Why isn't Liteminer activating?
Make sure you're looking directly at a block and pressing the correct key. Liteminer only activates on connected groups of the same block type, so single blocks or mixed areas won't trigger it.
Does Liteminer affect game performance?
Liteminer is designed to be lightweight, but mining very large veins or groups at once may cause a brief pause as the game processes multiple block breaks simultaneously.
