How to Fix Link's RPG Font Not Showing or Displaying Wrong

Confirm the Pack Is Actually Loaded

Open Options → Resource Packs and verify Link's RPG Font is in the "Selected" column, not just "Available." A common mistake is clicking the pack once (which does nothing) instead of using the arrow button to move it. After moving it, click Done and let the game reload.

Check for Conflicting Packs

Only one resource pack can control the font at a time. If you have another pack that also changes fonts — or a pack that bundles a font change alongside textures — it can override Link's RPG Font. Drag Link's RPG Font to the top of the selected list so it takes priority. If conflicts persist, temporarily disable all other packs to isolate the problem.

Version and File Integrity

Resource packs are tied to Minecraft versions. A pack built for a different major version may load partially or not at all. Re-download the pack if you suspect the file is corrupted, and make sure you extracted it correctly if it came as an archive — the pack folder or zip must contain a valid pack.mcmeta at its root. If the font still refuses to appear, test it in a fresh world with no other packs enabled to rule out world-specific issues.
