Linguify Clearview Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start translating things right after installing the mod?
Press Z in-game or use /translate to open the configuration menu, select your target language and preferred translation engine, then close the menu. You're ready to translate—click the [Translate] tag next to NPC messages or hover over items and press G to translate tooltips.
Why are my item colors disappearing when I translate?
The mod is designed to preserve color codes automatically, so this shouldn't happen. If colors are missing, check that you're using a translation engine that supports color retention in your /translate settings, or try switching to a different provider.
Can I translate only NPC dialogue and leave player chat alone?
Yes—open /translate and enable the NPC-only filter option under chat translation settings. This will prevent the mod from translating messages from regular players while still translating NPC text.
How do I switch back to the original text after translating?
Click the language tag next to a translated message to swap back to the original, or press V while hovering over a translated item tooltip to revert it instantly.
What do I do if translation stops working suddenly?
The mod automatically falls back to a secondary translation engine if your primary provider hits rate limits. If nothing works, check your API keys in /translate settings or try clearing your translation cache with /translate DeleteDict.
Can I use voice narration for all dialogue or just specific text?
Voice narration reads translated NPC dialogue aloud when you enable it in the mod menu. You can adjust speech speed and pitch in the voice narration options, but the feature applies to NPC text that gets translated.
Do clickable chat links like auction house buttons still work after translation?
Yes—the mod preserves all clickable chat actions and menu buttons, so translated messages remain fully interactive.
How do I set up multiple AI translation engines?
Open /translate and navigate to the API configuration section, then enter your API keys for each AI model you want to use. The mod will use your primary choice first and fall back to others if needed.
What languages does this mod support?
The mod includes complete interface and translation support for seventeen major world languages, covering most common regions and servers.
Can I auto-translate incoming dialogue without clicking anything?
Yes—enable the auto-translate option in /translate settings, and the mod will automatically convert incoming NPC dialogue to your target language without requiring manual clicks.
