Access a Corpse's Inventory Without Opening Nearby Containers

The safe way to loot a body

When a ragdoll corpse is near interactive blocks like chests or furnaces, you need a precise method to open only the body's inventory.

Steps

1. Position yourself near the ragdoll – Stand close enough to interact with it

2. Right-click the middle torso – Aim for the center chest area of the body, not the limbs or head

3. The inventory opens – Only the corpse's inventory window appears; nearby containers are not triggered

Why this works

Limp Body Overhaul patches the mod to recognize torso-specific right-clicks as inventory access, separate from general body-grabbing interactions. This prevents the accidental container opening that plagued earlier versions.

If you're having trouble:

• Make sure you're clicking the torso, not the arms or legs
• Stand at a slight angle if the corpse is directly against a container
• The inventory should open without any container windows appearing
