How to Save a Build Larger Than the Vanilla Structure Block Limit

Why the Limit Exists and What This Mod Changes

Vanilla structure blocks refuse to save or load anything beyond a small fixed cube, and they also cap how far away they will look for the opposite corner of a selection. This mod removes that size ceiling and widens the corner-search range so a single structure block can reach much farther across your world. The trade-off is that very large searches cost more performance, so plan your corners deliberately.

Saving a Big Build

1. Place a structure block and set its mode to Save.

2. Enter a name for the template in the name field.

3. Set the relative offset and size values to cover your build. Because the size cap is gone, you can push these numbers well past what vanilla allowed.

4. Press Detect (or the corner-detect button) so the block scans outward for the opposite corner. It will now search a much greater distance than before.

5. Confirm the bounding box lines up with your build, then press Save.

6. If the mode does not behave after switching it, switch the mode once more — the mod's known quirk is that the first mode change may not register, and the second one applies correctly.

Practical Tips

Keep the selection as tight as possible around the build; oversized boxes slow the corner search and bloat the saved template. If a save seems to fail, re-toggle the mode and try again before assuming the build is too large.
