LILAC HUD Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why does my HUD look different after installing LILAC HUD?
LILAC HUD replaces your standard gray and red interface elements with soft purple tones across your health bar, hunger meter, and armor display. This is the intended effect—the mod only changes HUD colors, not your actual gameplay or surrounding blocks.
Can I use LILAC HUD with other resource packs at the same time?
Yes, but load order matters. Place LILAC HUD lower in your resource pack list if you want its purple HUD to override other packs' interface textures, or higher if you want another pack's HUD to take priority.
The purple hearts are hard to see in bright areas. What can I do?
Try adjusting your screen brightness or gamma settings in-game, or enable a HUD contrast option if available in your resource pack settings. You can also customize the purple tones to be darker or more saturated for better visibility.
Do the purple hearts work in Hardcore mode?
Yes, LILAC HUD includes customized purple heart textures designed specifically for Hardcore mode, so your health display will match the pack's theme even when playing with permadeath enabled.
Will LILAC HUD change my armor or absorption hearts?
The pack updates your absorption status meters with custom purple styling, but it does not change actual armor textures or item appearances—only HUD display elements.
Does this mod affect performance or FPS?
No, LILAC HUD is a resource pack that only repaints interface textures and has no impact on game performance or frame rate.
Can I customize which HUD elements get the purple treatment?
LILAC HUD applies its purple color scheme to all standard HUD elements (health, hunger, armor) as a complete package. You can customize the shade of purple itself, but individual element toggles depend on your resource pack manager's options.
Why do my absorption hearts look orange instead of purple?
Absorption hearts may display in orange due to texture layering or a conflicting resource pack. Check your load order and verify that LILAC HUD is positioned to override other packs' absorption textures.
Does LILAC HUD work with mods that add new HUD elements?
LILAC HUD only reskins vanilla Minecraft HUD elements, so new HUD elements added by other mods will typically appear in their default colors unless those mods include LILAC HUD compatibility.
How do I revert to the normal gray HUD if I change my mind?
Disable or remove LILAC HUD from your resource packs folder, then restart your game or reload your resource packs in the settings menu.
