Observe Heat Updrafts and Particle Behavior

Find Heat Source Blocks

Certain blocks in Minecraft generate heat and create updrafts in this mod. Lava, magma blocks, and other heat-emitting blocks will lift floating particles into the air. Stand near these blocks in a cave or enclosed space to watch dust rise vertically above the heat source.

Create a Dust Observation Chamber

Build a small enclosed room with a heat block (like magma) at the floor level and light sources around the walls. The combination of illumination and thermal updrafts creates a visible vortex of rising particles. This setup clearly demonstrates how environmental forces interact with dust behavior.

Watch Storm Effects

During rain or storms, particles blow faster and more chaotically than in calm weather. Head outside during a storm to see wind-driven dust patterns. Compare this to clear weather to understand how the mod simulates atmospheric conditions. The effect is particularly visible in open landscapes and on hillsides where wind patterns are most pronounced.
