Set Up Your First Librarian Search

Prepare the Space

Create a confined 1×1 area around your Librarian Villager using blocks or walls. This prevents them from wandering and keeps the setup stable during the search process.

Place and Select the Lectern

1. Place a Lectern directly in front of the villager, within their line of sight

2. Look at the lectern and press I (or run /tradefinder select) to select it

3. The lectern is now active and ready for searching

Prepare Your Tools

Hold an axe in your main hand and keep lecterns in your off-hand. The mod will automatically break and replace the lectern during the search. A faster axe (like Diamond or Netherite) speeds up the process significantly.

Start Searching

Open the config screen with C (or /tradefinder config). Choose which enchantments you want to find, set your desired level or price limits, then begin the search. The mod will cycle through trades automatically until it finds a match.
