Understanding What libIPN Does and Why It Has No Items
It Is a Library, Not a Content Mod
libIPN adds no blocks, items, recipes, or world content. It is a shared code library that supplies GUI and config handling to
Inventory Profiles Next and other mirinimi mods. That means you will never craft anything from it, and it will never appear as a usable feature on its own. Its entire job is to give the mods that depend on it a consistent interface and settings system.
Why You Still Need It Installed
Even though libIPN does nothing visible by itself, the dependent mods will not run without it. If you remove libIPN while keeping
Inventory Profiles Next, that mod will fail to load or crash on startup. Treat libIPN as a required
companion: install it alongside its dependents, keep it updated in step with them, and otherwise ignore it.
What You Can Safely Ignore
Any guide telling you to configure libIPN directly for gameplay features is misleading. Sorting, profiles, and inventory behavior are controlled by the dependent mod. Your only interaction with libIPN is through the config screens those mods expose. If you are troubleshooting a gameplay feature, start with the dependent mod's settings, not libIPN's.
