Keeping libIPN and Its Dependent Mods Compatible
Match Versions With Your Dependents
libIPN must match the mods that use it. When you update
Inventory Profiles Next or another mirinimi mod, update libIPN in the same pass. A newer dependent mod paired with an older libIPN is the most common cause of startup crashes and missing config screens. Keep all of them on builds intended for the same game version.
Update Order That Avoids Breakage
Update libIPN first, then its dependents, then launch once to confirm the config screens still open. If something breaks, you know the change came from that batch. Avoid updating libIPN alone while leaving dependents stale, and avoid mixing builds from different game versions in one instance.
When to Suspect a Conflict
If the game crashes before the title screen and the log points at config or GUI handling, suspect a libIPN mismatch or a conflict with another library doing similar work. Remove other config-handling libraries temporarily and retest. Once the game launches, re-enable them one at a time. If a dependent mod works without libIPN present, that build does not actually need it — but most mirinimi mods do, so keep libIPN installed unless a mod explicitly says otherwise.
