Build and Deploy Your First Army Squad

Hire and Tag Your Troops

Start by opening the hiring screen and recruiting faction soldiers—Rohirrim, Gondor, or other Middle-Earth forces. You'll spend silver and gold coins to bring them into your service. Each unit joins as an ungrouped soldier until you assign them a custom army tag.

Interact with a hired unit to open their status menu. From here, you can assign them to a squad by setting an army tag—for example, "squad_1" or "vanguard." Group multiple soldiers under the same tag to form a cohesive unit.

Summon Your Squad into Battle

Once your tagged army is assembled, press I to open the war interface. Enter your army tag name to filter and view all soldiers in that group. Click the invasion button to teleport your entire squad directly to your current location, ready for combat.

Your troops will automatically defend you and assist against your current targets. If any soldier falls behind during travel, they'll teleport safely to catch up. Use the invasion menu repeatedly to call reinforcements or reposition your forces across the map.
