Legion of the Rings Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I hire my first troops?
Open the hiring screen (accessed through the war interface or by interacting with faction NPCs) and select a unit type. You'll need silver and gold coins to complete the recruitment—the cost varies by unit tier and faction.
What's the difference between Follow and Stay orders?
Follow orders make your units move with you and engage enemies you target automatically. Stay orders lock units in place, so they'll defend that position and only attack threats that come to them.
How do I summon my army from far away?
Open the invasion menu (press I and enter your army tag), then click the invasion button to teleport your entire squad directly to your location, even if they're in unloaded chunks.
Can I organize my troops into different squads?
Yes—assign custom army tags to your hired units by interacting with them and setting their tag. You can then summon specific tagged groups separately using the invasion menu.
What happens when a rival defeats me?
That NPC becomes a persistent rival with a higher rank and better stats. They'll randomly ambush you during gameplay, and defeating them later grants bonus points, custom loot, and gold coin bounties.
How do I check my active bounties and claim rewards?
Type /nemesis bounties to open the bounty screen, which displays up to nine active and completed targets in a grid. Hover over targets to preview their model and details, then claim completed bounties for gold coins.
Can I summon a specific rival I've defeated before?
Yes—use the command /nemesis summon with the rival's identifier code (shown in /nemesis list) to spawn them directly into your world.
Do my units stay alive if they fall behind while traveling?
No—hired soldiers automatically teleport to safety if they fall too far behind their leader, so you won't lose them during long journeys.
Will my rivals and army data save if I reload my world?
Yes—rival data including their unique identifiers, gear, ranks, and all army unit information is permanently saved to your world and persists across reloads.
What do rival titles do?
Special titles grant unique abilities to your rivals—for example, some titles may inflict poison attacks on hit or grant other combat bonuses that make them more dangerous on subsequent encounters.
