Finding and Activating Your First Shrine

Locating Shrines in the Overworld

Shrine blocks spawn naturally throughout the Overworld as part of the mod's world generation. They appear as distinctive stone structures in various biomes—forests, mountains, jungles, and snowy regions. Begin exploring outward from your base and keep an eye out for unusual stone formations that stand apart from natural terrain.

Activating a Shrine

Once you spot a shrine block, simply walk near it. The mod detects your proximity automatically and activates the checkpoint stone without requiring any special interaction or crafting. You'll notice the shrine's appearance change—it glows or displays visual effects indicating it's now active.

After activation, the shrine becomes a respawn point option. This means if you die anywhere in the world, you can choose to respawn at this activated shrine instead of your bed. You can activate multiple shrines across different regions to create a network of checkpoints throughout your world. This is especially useful before embarking on dangerous expeditions into deep caves or distant dungeons.
