Choosing Where to Respawn After Death
Understanding Your Respawn Options
When you die, the mod presents you with a choice menu instead of automatically sending you back to your bed. This menu shows your available respawn locations: your home bed and any shrine checkpoints you've previously activated.
Selecting Your Respawn Point
Review the options carefully. If you died far from home while exploring, respawning at a nearby activated shrine will save you a long walk back to retrieve your dropped items. Choose the shrine option if it's closer to your death location. If you prefer to return to your base, select your bed instead.
Keep in mind that vanilla death mechanics still apply—your items will drop where you died and remain there for the standard despawn timer. The shrine respawn system simply reduces travel time to recover them. This is particularly valuable when dying in deep dungeons or remote areas where walking back would take considerable time.
