Troubleshooting: Bars Not Showing Correctly While Riding

Common symptoms

Players sometimes report that the hunger bar still vanishes, the jump bar never appears, or the hearts overlap other HUD elements. Most of these come down to mod conflicts or riding an unsupported mob.

Step-by-step checks

1. Verify you are riding a supported mob: horse, donkey, mule, llama, pig with a saddle, or Strider with a saddle. Other mounts are outside this mod's scope.

2. Confirm the mod is enabled in your launcher's mod list for the correct game profile.

3. Disable other HUD mods one at a time to see if one is drawing over the same region.

4. Check your GUI scale in video settings — an unusual scale can make stacked bars look cramped or overlapping.

5. Restart the game after changing mods, since HUD changes often only apply on a fresh launch.

If it still misbehaves

  • Test in a fresh world with only this mod plus its required dependencies to rule out pack conflicts.
  • Remember the jump bar is intentionally hidden until fully charged, so an absent jump bar is expected behavior, not a bug.
  • If hearts and hunger overlap badly, it is almost always another mod repositioning vanilla elements; resolve it there rather than in this mod.
