Leave My Bars Alone Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I keep my hunger bar visible while riding a horse?
Just mount the horse. The mod automatically keeps your hunger bar on screen whenever you're riding a horse, pig, llama, or Strider, so no configuration or keybind is needed.
Why does the jump bar disappear when I'm riding?
That's intended behavior. The jump bar only shows up once it's fully charged; while it's still charging, your experience bar is displayed in its place.
Where do the mob's hearts go when I mount up?
The mob's hearts are shifted upward and sit above your hunger bar, so both your hunger and the mount's health stay visible at the same time.
Do I need to enable anything in a config file for this mod to work?
No. The HUD changes apply automatically as soon as you ride a supported mob, with no config or toggle required.
Does this mod work with pigs and Striders too, or only horses?
It works with horses, pigs, llamas, and Striders in vanilla. Any mob you can ride that uses the standard riding HUD should be affected.
My hunger bar still isn't showing while riding. What's wrong?
Check whether another HUD mod is overriding the riding interface, since conflicting HUD mods can hide or replace the hunger bar. Removing or reordering the conflicting mod usually restores the behavior.
Why is my experience bar showing instead of the jump bar?
The jump bar is hidden until it's fully charged, and your experience bar takes its place during that time. Once the jump is fully charged, the jump bar appears.
Will this mod conflict with other HUD or UI mods?
It can conflict with mods that also modify the riding HUD, since both may try to control the same bars. If bars look wrong, test with only this mod enabled to isolate the conflict.
Does this mod affect performance or cause lag?
No, it only changes how existing HUD elements are displayed while riding, so it has no meaningful impact on performance.
Do I need to install anything else for this mod to work?
No additional dependencies are needed for the vanilla mobs it supports. Just have the mod installed and ride a horse, pig, llama, or Strider.
