Switching Languages Frequently While Playing
Why Frequent Switching Is Now Practical
Before this mod, players avoided changing language mid-session because each switch cost a full reload. With only the language manager reloading, you can flip between languages to check translations, help a friend, or read a guide in another language without losing your place.
Doing It Cleanly
1. Stay in-game rather than returning to the main menu. The mod's benefit applies wherever you trigger a language change.\n2. Open the language menu, select your target language, and confirm.\n3. Continue playing. Your world state, inventory, and position are unaffected by a language change.\n4. Switch back the same way when you are done.\n
Notes for Multiplayer and Modpacks
- On a server, language is a client-side setting. Changing it does not affect other players or the server.\n- In a modpack, some mods add their own translation files. Those load through the same language manager, so they benefit from the reduced reload too.\n- If a specific mod's text does not update after switching, that mod may cache its strings separately. A full restart resolves that, but it is not caused by Lazy Language Loader.\n- Keep your language choice consistent if you stream or record, so on-screen text matches your audience.
