Making Language Switching Faster on a Low-End PC
Understand What the Mod Actually Skips
Normally, changing language forces Minecraft to rebuild the entire resource stack. That means reloading every texture atlas, every block model, and every sound entry — even though none of those changed. Lazy Language Loader intercepts this and reloads only the language manager, leaving everything else cached.
Practical Tips to Get the Most Out of It
1. Keep your resource pack setup stable. If you swap packs often, you will still get full reloads from those actions.\n2. Avoid changing language at the same time as toggling other resource-related settings. Do them one at a time so you can tell which action caused any lag.\n3. If you use multiple language packs, make sure they are properly placed so the language list loads correctly the first time.\n4. Test on a fresh world first. Load into a world, open the language menu, and switch. This confirms the mod is active before you rely on it in a long play session.
When It Won't Help
If your freeze comes from loading a large modpack's assets at startup, this mod does not address that. It specifically targets the language-change reload. For startup lag, look at other optimizations.
