Checking That Lazy Language Loader Is Working

What to Compare Against

The clearest way to confirm the mod is active is to remember how vanilla behaves. In vanilla, switching language on a modest PC typically causes a noticeable freeze — often long enough to see the window go unresponsive. With the mod, that same action should complete much faster.

A Simple Test Routine

1. Launch the game with the mod installed.\n2. Enter any world or the main menu.\n3. Open Options → Language.\n4. Switch to a different language and watch how long the screen takes to respond.\n5. Switch back to your original language and compare.\n

Both switches should feel quick and roughly equal in duration. If one switch is dramatically slower, something else may be interfering.

If It Seems Slow Anyway

  • A very brief pause is expected; the mod reduces the reload, it does not eliminate it.\n- If the pause is as long as vanilla, check that no other mod is forcing a full resource reload on language change.\n- Confirm the mod is actually loaded by checking your mod list in-game.\n- Remember that changing resource packs or shaders will still cause full reloads, which can look like the mod is not working when it actually is.
