Troubleshoot Sand Not Converting to Glass

Verify Lava Contact

The most common issue is insufficient lava-to-sand contact. Check that:

• Lava is actually flowing onto or adjacent to sand blocks
• The lava source is active and not blocked by other materials
• Sand blocks are not protected by other blocks preventing lava access

Check Block States

Ensure you're using regular sand blocks, not:

• Red sand (may have different conversion behavior)
• Sand blocks that are part of structures or protected areas
• Blocks that have been modified by other mods

Confirm Mod Installation

Verify the mod is properly installed by:

• Checking your mods folder for the mod file
• Confirming the mod appears in your mod list in-game
• Restarting your game if you recently installed it

Test in Creative Mode

Switch to Creative mode and manually place lava next to sand to confirm the conversion works. This isolates whether the issue is environmental or mechanical.
